People,
places, and stewardship of the land are the foundations
of the landscape architecture profession. Landscape
architects shape the environment and, in doing so,
they create an immense impact in our lives, improving
the richness and beauty of our surroundings.
Who We Are
Landscape architects are trained professionals who
approach diverse landscape projects with artistic
flair and technical knowledge. They are holistic
in their approach, working with both poles of human
culture – the practical and analytical as well
as the artistic and intuitive.
Aside from using the aesthetic elements of design,
landscape architects are knowledgeable in a gamut of
fields of study, such as architecture, urban planning,
engineering and construction, horticulture, the natural
sciences like geology and ecology, research methods
as well as the social sciences including economics
and psychology – all of which they combine to
create well thought-out spaces. The intensifying global
attention to sustainability and environmental conservation
means that landscape architects' skills are increasingly
in demand here and all over the world.
What We Do
Landscape architects work on all types of outdoor spaces,
ranging from small residential gardens, to public parks
and streetscapes, to planning of industrial sites and
urban cityscapes. Different from gardeners skilled
in crafting pockets of green, landscape architects
are capable of executing more complex projects that
transform, enhance and conserve our natural and built
environment, creating inspiring places in which to
live, work and relax.
Mindful of today’s social, cultural, and environmental
challenges, the Filipino landscape architect is committed
to improve the quality of life of his or her client
and country.
